NINTENDO REVEALS ITS UNUSUAL NEW CONSOLE

Nintendo released the first trailer for their new gaming console, Nintendo Switch (previously code-named Nintendo NX), which is set to hit shelves March 2017. The name comes from the system’s versatility: it can be played both on the road as a handheld device and at home on the TV.

The trailer looks crazy, and the system offers gamers the chance to revisit the world of Zelda, Pokemon, Mario and more — but is it a flawed premise? Nintendo seems to be banking on the fact that people will want to take another device, other than their phone, on the road.
