ONGOING VISION AND REALITY AS PORSCHE TURNS 70

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to contribute to an amazing show on the Discovery Channel called 'How It's Made: Dream Cars', where I told the stories from beginning to the end of how some of the most exotic Supercars and luxury Sport Cars from around the world were constructed and customized for enthusiasts.

One of the featured episodes was about the design and success of the unstoppable Porsche 911. Most of the show takes place in the region of Stuttgart, Germany where the victorious sports car is built and has been manufactured for the last 70 years.

In this episode of Dream Cars, there's great footage of the fantastic museum inside the manufacturer's headquarters, where one unit of every single model that has ever been constructed, is on display. The sight of this collection would make any Car Lover glow for days, if not months. Currently, at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS), Porsche has on display a curated selection of vehicles by Achim Stejskal, Director of the Porsche Museum, that celebrate the past 70 years and its ongoing efforts. There is also a virtual model of Porsche's upcoming Sport Sedan the electric Mission E on display that allows users to discover its details, inside and out, using a smartphone interface- a quick and fun experience of what dream cars are made of.

CIAS is on from February 16th to February 25th, 2018 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
