It doesn't matter that Kit Harrington (aka Jon Snow of GOT) plays pitchman for Infiniti or that “winter is coming”. The Infiniti AWD Q60 will keep Summer top of mind like a primetime hit. It’s striking with a low, wide, and powerful stance. Signature elements like eye-inspired headlights and a double-arch grille make it unmistakably Infiniti-- it’s hard to ignore (even for a Corvette driver on the 400). Hooked-up with a 300-hp 3.0-liter, first ever twin-turbo V6 engine for this model, it offers instant "bye-bye” jaw-dropping performance, both on the highway and on the steep rural inclines of Cottage country.

Getting behind the wheel is a pleasure as the steering wheel has Sport-inspired thumb grips that are just the right shape for performance driving. Seating is made to hug your waist, tush, and ego. But the Electroluminescent Gauges are not a visual reward. For a car of this caliber and price, I expected a cluster that screamed “sporty cockpit dials”. And a truly fierce exhaust node would also be mindful. In hindsight, I was able to drive a long stretch of highway without touching the wheel, accelerator or brakes thanks to Intelligent Cruise Control with Full Speed Range (ICC). ‘Made it feel like a sexier Tesla.

But believe or not, this is the Cruiserweight monster of the sporty luxury coupe model. The Heavyweight outputs 400 horsepower with a beefier price tag and even more performance accoutrements. MRSP: $52,990 (AT)
