NIKELAB ACG AIR ZOOM TALLAC FLYKNIT BOOT

Nike ACG is unique. A kind of brand within a brand they’ve focused on producing well built boots designed specifically for hiking by using the newest of their parent company’s technology. It is always interesting to see what ACG (short for ‘All Conditions Gear’) ends up putting out, but especially so since Nike’s technology has been increasingly heading in the direction of sock-like Flyknit uppers. This newest release, the Nikelab ACG Air Zoom Tallac Flyknit Boot, definitely doesn’t disappoint.

These boots made in collaboration with Errolson Hugh, head of Acronym and patron saint of technical street wear, offer up a host of interesting features. First off, the upper is made from a TPU injected Flyknit that combines the sock-like fit that everyone loves so much with water resistant protection. To accompany that upper, of course, is the famed Flywire for the reflective laces, as well as a Zoom Air forefoot unit for dynamic cushioning and a super lightweight Phylon foam midsole. The vibe we are getting from these boots, which come in an all black, cargo khaki, or pure platinum, is that they’re offering up the kind of responsiveness you’d expect from a runner with the support and durability of a hiker. Of course, like most all things Errolson Hugh get’s has a hand in, these have a menacing and cool look to them that is hard to resist. You can pick up a pair for yourself for $275.
