THE WORLD’S BIGGEST INDOOR THEME PARK IS REASON ENOUGH TO STAY A COUPLE OF DAYS IN DUBAI

If the constant adrenaline rush and dizzying thrills of a well-pitched theme park is your brand of entertainment then we’ve got your next bucket-list addition sorted. While Dubai might be known to most as a convenient place to catch a joining flight, you might be inclined to consider a much lengthier layover on your next trip thanks to the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park, the world’s largest indoor entertainment complex, which after years of anticipation is finally open to the public.

Built by the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group (hence the name IMG), the theme park is over 1.5 million square feet (that’s 28 football fields, folks) and encompasses an outdoor rollercoaster, four indoor ‘epic zones’, starting with the recognisable faces of Cartoon Network and also Marvel comics, plus IMG’s own creations, the Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure (animatronic dinos left right and center, as well as even more rollercoasters) and IMG Boulevard, featuring a 12 screen state of the art cinema.

The whole complex also houses 28 original food and beverage offerings, 25 retail outlets, offers child tracking and has a matching app for a fully integrated experience (as well as a WiFi network that can host 25 000 mobile devices at any one time). The park can entertain over 20 000 visitors a day and is the largest tourist attraction to open in the region to date, putting Dubai on the map as a seriously fun spot to play.
