SEE WHERE MICHAEL PHELPS IS RETIRING AFTER THE RIO OLYMPICS

1/6

Hot off his gold medal windfall in Rio, swimming legend Michael Phelps just took a dive into the Arizona desert. The Olympian purchased this $2.5 million home in Scottsdale back in December, reports Trulia, and has finally gotten a chance to retire and move in. Set against the backdrop of the Camelback Mountains, the property will undoubtedly be a restful retreat for one of the hardest-working athletes in the world. He and fiancée Nicole will have plenty of space for baby Boomer and his myriad medals; the five-bedroom residence—featuring European stone, imported hardwood floors, and four fireplaces—spans 6,010 square feet. The expansive living/dining room showcases a vaulted ceiling, glass doors that open to the outdoor entertaining area, and a double-sided fireplace, which separates the space into two distinct sections. And of course, there’s the gold-medal-worthy pool, where Phelps has already started giving his son pointers.
