CANON ANNOUNCES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED 5D MARK IV DSLR

Canon just announced the latest DSLR to join its beloved 5D family, and one of the most highly anticipated cameras in recent memory, the EOS 5D Mark IV. The Japanese manufacturer’s new camera looks very similar to its predecessor, the EOS 5D Mark III, but in terms of function, the 5D Mark IV is a more versatile full-frame DSLR.

The 5D Mark IV is optimized for both photo and video capture. It gets a much-appreciated resolution bump with a new 30.4MP sensor, an LCD touchscreen, 4K video capture up to 30 FPS and an improved (and slightly larger) 61-point autofocus system. The new 5D also has built in wi-fi, NFC and GPS, so you can easily sync photos to your smartphone and control the DSLR with the brand’s Camera Connect App.

Canon’s newest DSLR can be preordered now and will begin shipping September 8. The body alone will go for $3,500, or you can buy the starter kit with the EF 24-70mm f/4L for $4,400. Canon is also rumored to have planned a starter kit with the the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM, which will go for around $4,600 and ship in October.
