MICHELLE OBAMA'S CARPOOL KARAOKE PROVES WHY JAMES CORDEN IS THE MOST VIRAL HOST IN LATE NIGHT

Two days ago, James Corden uploaded a one-minute preview of his Carpool Karaoke with Michelle Obama, and it already has more than six million views. It has become the most viral segment in late night TV. And for good reason. It puts some of the most famous people in the world—Adele, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, etc., etc.—in a situation we can all identify with: Singing along with the radio in the car.

So, to do that with the First Lady of the United States is a big deal. Last night, as Republicans enjoyed their third night of Unreality Fest 2016, Mrs. Obama and Corden sang Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and Beyoncé's "Single Ladies."

But this wouldn't be a Carpool Karaoke without Missy Elliott (right?). The rapper joined Corden and the First Lady to sing "This Is for My Girls" and "Get Your Freak On."

Through it all—the secret service checkpoints and crippling fear of driving around the First Lady—Corden is his charming self, like Jerry Seinfeld was when he drove President Obama through the White House grounds. It's a pretty incredible segment—especially for a late night show that airs at 12:35 a.m. No wonder rumors are spreading that Corden could take over Stephen Colbert's slot just before him at 11:35 p.m. Carpool Karaoke has reached the highest point in our country. So what's next? President Obama? Donald Trump? Let's hope not the latter.
