This is how you introduce a superhero: By having him rip off a car door with his bare hands to storm a building full of armed heavies while Ol' Dirty Bastard takes over the soundtrack. That's the centerpiece of the first brief yet incredible trailer for Luke Cage, Marvel's next big Netflix series that's set to debut September 30. Of course, you might know Luke Cage his supporting role in Jessica Jones (terrifically played in both by Mike Colter), but Luke Cage appears to be an entirely different show from Jones or Daredevil. Just look at the trailer.
Honestly, that trailer alone is enough to be the most talked-about thing on the first day of San Diego Comic-Con's hype parade, but Marvel had more to share: In addition to news that Jon Bernthal's Punisher from Daredevil season 2 would be getting his own series and Daredevil officially be getting a third season, the company teased their two big 2017 series: Iron Fist, and the big Avengers-style crossover, The Defenders.
